Mel is a decorative artist creating notable installations for interiors whilst also producing individual and limited edition pieces for the home. Her origins have been firmly set in the design world, having worked in publishing for Vanity Fair and Tatler, and on creative collaborations with renowned interior designers.
Today, Mel continues to work on larger-scale projects for interior designers and architects. Influenced by tradition and historical styles she uses innovative new designs to project large shell work into interior spaces. Shell work is a craft which has been promoted to an art form and Mel continues to harness its qualities to produce visually discerning spaces for her clients.
Predominantly producing captivating new designs in architectural shell work, Mel is bringing new life to an old tradition. The results are transformative.
Always wanting to make less but better, she founded ‘Campion & Daughters’, an interior accessories brand focused on the regeneration and reinvention of vintage treasures.
Mel curates the past for the present, creating innovative yet timeless limited edition one-of-a-kind interior pieces.
